Wonseok Choi

I am a Ph.D. student at the POSTECH Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence, advised by Tae-Hyun Oh. Before joining POSTECH, I received my B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Birmingham, where I was advised by Hyung Jin Chang and Jianbo Jiao. My research focuses on visual perception and reasoning in complex environments, with a particular interest in uncertainty, grounded understanding, and embodied intelligence. I study how machines perceive, reason about, and evaluate visual information under ambiguity, and how active and physical interaction with the environment can reduce uncertainty and support more reliable decision making.
